Tutorial #1

This is my first tutorial ever o_o' so...be nice ok? xD
I tried to be clear, but I'm a mess at explaining things, sorry! I really hope this will be useful for someone!

We're going from to

made with PSP8; also involving Color Balance and Channel Mixer

-Duplicate your base and set it to Screen 60 % (depending from the picture) and sharpen it once

-Merge all

-Duplicate the base and set it to softlight 100%

-Make a new Color Balance layer (preserving luminosity): Midtones –70, -20, 0 Highlights 0, 0, -10

-Make a new Channel Mixer layer: Red 170, –60, 0 Blue –60, 60, 100

-Duplicate the layer and set the opacity to 45% (sometimes this passage is not necessary, it depends from the picture)

-Make a new layer, fill it with a light blue like #C6E6FE and set it to burn 100%

-Duplicate the base, drag it to top and set it to Luminance (Legacy) 100%

-Merge all

-Make a new layer, fill it with a dark blue like #001C54 and set it to Exclusion 45% (the opacity depends from the picture)

-Make a new layer, fill it with a light blue like #C6E6FE and set it to softlight 100%

-Duplicate the base, drag it to top and set it to Luminance

-Make a new layer, fill it with a dark brown like #440300 and set it to exclusion 50% (the opacity depends from the picture and personal taste ;p)

And here is what you should have in the end!

Have you guys seen this interview with Johnny and Tim? I’ve been laughing all week! The interviewer (sorry to say that) is completely hopeless O___O Tim is sooo funny xD and it doesn’t happen every day to see Johnny almost spitting his drink out and laughing that way xD gotta love those two <3
